Holiday Special {Spokane, WA Photographer}

It is that time of year again!  Fall is here, and the holidays will be here before we know it

I wanted to put something special together for those of you considering a family photo to send out for the holidays.  I'll have some sample cards put together for you sometime next week, but for now here the packages.  All sessions must take place prior to November 20th, and ordering sessions completed by December 1st.

I Heart Faces... Smirk {Spokane, WA Children's Photographer}

One of the blogs I follow is I Heart Faces, in fact I just won a year membership to Animoto Pro from them.  Hooray!!!  Each week they have a different theme, for people to submit photos for a contest.  I've never entered before, but as soon as I saw this theme I immediately thought of this picture of Aubrey.  This is definitely her little smirky, I'm gonna get you face.  I love it, and I love my girlie!

Who Wants to Win? {Spokane, WA Senior Photographer}

I just returned from my 4 days at After Dark Education. It was an amazing experience. I walked away from it inspired, armed with more knowledge, and dead tired! I got the opportunity to sit and listen to some seriously amazing photographers, especially geared to Seniors. I loved getting learn all the fun new products, sessions, and techniques they use.

One of the things that I heard about for the first time are "Friend Sessions". Basically it just a session for a group of friends to go out and have some fun, whatever that means to you. It could be at the skateboard park, the mall, the lake, a park, or wherever we can work out. And, I get to capture you all together. After hearing about these I thought it sounded like so much fun I could hardly wait to do one.

After Dark {Spokane, WA Photographer}

Today is the big day!
I'm leaving town and leaving my babies for the first time! I'm heading to Portland for After Dark, a photography workshop. Lucky me though it was much cheaper to head down on Saturday, than on Sunday, so I get to spend some time with my little sister and brother in law Saturday before the workshop begins on Sunday afternoon!

I must admit I am a wee bit nervous- nervous about leaving them, nervous about all the fabulous photographers I will be around, and nervous that my head might explode from all the knowledge I'm going to try to stuff into it! The schedule is amazing. Sessions starting at 10 am and running until 2 am- Hello coffee will be my best friend!!! I have a feeling I'm going to come home half asleep. Unfortunately, the day after I return will be the Riley's first day at pre-school, so no rest (well, at least not in the early morning!)for me.

If you try to reach me I will do my best to return emails when I have a break... I think the hotel I'm at has wireless internet! Otherwise I will be back in the office Thursday, September 16th. Sessions will start back up on Sunday, the 19th, and you can bet I'm going to be eager to try out all the amazing new things I learn!

Dani- Lewis and Clark Class of 2011 {Spokane, WA Senior Photographer}

Dani is another member of the class of 2011. She will be graduating from Lewis and Clark High school. Dani was so much fun! She was up for anything. Even though we battled the bright morning sky- of course there wasn't a single cloud in the sky- and the wind we got some great images. Dani, I hope you have an amazing Senior year! Enjoy every last moment!

31 {Spokane, WA Family, Children, Sr. Photographer}

Today is my 31st birthday!

I know, shocking right?! Luckily birthdays don't bug me. Last year when I turned 30 I think my family kept waiting for it to bother me. I just kept saying it felt right- we had just built our house, I have 2 kids, my own business,.... I am supposed to be 30! I feel the same way this year.

In honor of my birthday I'm holding my own special celebration for all of you.

Nerf War at Spokane Paintball Club {Spokane, WA Children's Photographer}

Riley has been going to the Nerf games at the Spokane Paintball Club now for awhile. It is a morning full of fun for kids ages 5 and up. They all come with their nerf gear- guns, darts, and goggles and run around shooting each other for 3 hours. The first game it is the kids againest the "monster", then they broke up into teams and played just each other. The last game it was the kids vs. the Dads. This was my first time coming and it was a ton of fun to watch, and of course take pictures. Although not my usual picture quality, nor genre it was a lot of fun, and of course I had to share with all of you.
