One of the blogs I follow is I Heart Faces, in fact I just won a year membership to Animoto Pro from them. Hooray!!! Each week they have a different theme, for people to submit photos for a contest. I've never entered before, but as soon as I saw this theme I immediately thought of this picture of Aubrey. This is definitely her little smirky, I'm gonna get you face. I love it, and I love my girlie!

Nerf War at Spokane Paintball Club {Spokane, WA Children's Photographer}
Riley has been going to the Nerf games at the Spokane Paintball Club now for awhile. It is a morning full of fun for kids ages 5 and up. They all come with their nerf gear- guns, darts, and goggles and run around shooting each other for 3 hours. The first game it is the kids againest the "monster", then they broke up into teams and played just each other. The last game it was the kids vs. the Dads. This was my first time coming and it was a ton of fun to watch, and of course take pictures. Although not my usual picture quality, nor genre it was a lot of fun, and of course I had to share with all of you.
If you'd like more information about the Nerf Wars (it is a monthly event) you can contact the Spokane Paintball Club at 509-474-1405. Or give me a buzz and I'll pass along the details as soon as I hear.

Growing Up {Spokane, WA Children's Photographer}
I can't believe how big my baby girl is getting! She just turned 2.5 and it feels like it is going by way too fast. Today we had a monsterous 20 degree temperature drop, gotta love Spokane weather!, so we broke out some new fall clothes. She is going through this phase where all she wants to wear are dresses. When I got it out for her so was so excited to put it on, and then I told her she could wear her new ballet slippers with it she was thrilled. She's looked so stinkin' cute all day we had to go out and get some pictures. She loved that I let her sit in the suitcase! And, that cheesy little face she is making... we call it the "pirate". She just started doing it one day, and I lost it. I laughed so hard, so of course now she loves to do it just to get me to laugh! What can I say, my baby girl has a sense of humor!

Fourth of July with a Little Red Chair {Spokane, WA Children's Photographer}
Happy 4th of July everyone!
Our day has been pretty laid back. Steve is on-call for work, so no big plans for us. We're heading to my parents later today to celebrate my Dad's birthday, but that is about it. I got the kids all dressed this morning, and decided they looked too cute not share! Plus, I have that adorable red chair I got yesterday that I was just dying to try out!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

{Cake Smash} Children's Photographer, Spokane, WA Creatively Yours
Mr. Mason is about to celebrate his very first birthday. Such an amazing milestone must be celebrated in style. What better way to commemorate this occasion- the passing of babyhood (yes, I know not really a word!) into toddlerhood- than by having that first taste of cake! It is a moment you never want to forget, whether your baby is like Mason and takes a few bites, and decides they don't like the mess, or if they're like my daughter who absolutely delighted in it and ate almost 1/2 her huge cupcake! It is truly a once in a lifetime experience not to be missed. If you'd like to celebrate your child's first birthday with a Cake Smash just give me a ring. They are some of my favorite things to capture!
Just like last time don't forget to leave some love Mason and his photographer. =) Once he receives 20 comments here on the blog Mom and Dad will receive a free 8x10!
Without further ado....

Mason at 9 Months/ Children's Photographer Spokane, WA
I've had the joy of doing pictures of this little guy at 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and now 9 months. He is getting to be quite the little character. We had a lot of fun trying to capture his growing personality as quickly as we could before he would destroy a prop or dismantle the studio. I love this age!

A Boy and His '48 Chevy Truck/ Spokane, WA Photographer
My little guy turned 4 back in November, and for at least a month before his birthday I already had these shots planned out in my head. Finally, 4 months later everything worked out- Daddy was home to pull the truck out of the shop, Riley's hair had recently been cut, the weather was perfect, and we had a bit of time! As I was taking the shots I kept telling myself that if these didn't live up the images I had in my head I would just try again. Luckily they did live up to my expectations. I love them, and I hope you do too!!! Let me hear your thoughts too, just click comment on the bottom.
